Mission & Goals

MISSION

The mission of the Indiana AHEC Program is to enhance access to quality health care, particularly primary and preventive care for medically underserved populations, by improving the distribution and diversity of health care professionals and improving health care quality through community/academic educational partnerships. Southwest Indiana AHEC's mission is to promote this mission in the counties of Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, Warrick.

GOALS

Improve the distribution of health care professionals in underserved areas of Indiana.

Improve the diversity of the health care workforce in Indiana.

Improve the quality of health care professions education in Indiana.
