OMICRON PSI
SMALL RESEARCH GRANT

PURPOSE:  The purpose of the Sigma Theta Tau Omicron Psi Small Research Grant is to support and encourage members to contribute to the advancement of nursing through research. The focus of the grant is promotion of nursing scholarship and practice-based research.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  1. One applicant on the research team must be a member of Omicron Psi. 
  2. Baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing and/or nursing students enrolled in a higher degree program in nursing with direct supervision of a qualified faculty meeting applicant criteria. 
  3. Have submitted a complete research grant application form and signed a Sigma Theta Tau research agreement.
RESEARCH FUNDING:
  1. Funds for this grant are provided by Omicron Psi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. The maximum amount that can be awarded is $1000.
  2. Allocation of funds is based on the quality of the proposed research and the applicant’s research budget. 
  3. A favorable decision by the Research Committee precedes a recommendation to the Board of Directors.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:  NOVEMBER 15
Deadline for submission of grant proposals is December 1, with funding announcement January 17.
