Welcome to another exciting year. I hope your summer was as fun
and busy as mine. I am sure it went by too quickly, as mine did. Let me tell
you a little about myself. I have not moved too far from home. I grew up in
Evansville and went to the University of Evansville where I completed both my
Master's and Bachelor's degree in Nursing. I have been married to
a great guy, Barry, for 18 years. He is a computer systems engineer - which
comes in handy since I'm constantly tapping into his expertise to update my
skills and improve my teaching delivery. I have two (of course, wonderful!)
daughters, Lindsey and Meredith. I also have another four-legged "daughter"
that I was talked into having a pug called Wrinkles. I have also loved
the areas of maternal child nursing. I currently work at St. Mary's Medical
Center on an as needed basis in the neonatal intensive care, pediatric unit,
and pediatric intensive care unit. I spend almost all of my free time
watching my girls play the sports they are involved with, soccer, volleyball,
and basketball.
Teaching has become my favorite job because I enjoy interacting with students and working within the University and clinical settings..
