DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ORAL CANCER AND RELATED PRE-MALIGNANCY AND SALIVARY GLAND DISEASE

The morning session of this all day seminar for dental professionals will focus on early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of oral cancer and related pre-malignancy oral lesions. The afternoon session will focus on diagnosis and treatment of a variety of salivary gland diseases that affect patients of all ages. Emphasis will be placed on the clinical recognition, diagnosis, and management of these problems. Denis P. Lynch, DDS, PhD, Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee will be the speaker. Dr. Lynch is the author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters, as well as the co-author of The Mouth: Diagnosis and Treatment. Application for continuing education approval made to Kentucky Board of Dentistry and DANB. The University of Southern Indiana is an approved provider for CE credits by the Indiana Health Professions Bureau and the Illinois Board of Dentistry.

DENTAL ETHICS & LEGAL ISSUES FOR DENTAL PROFESSIONALS IN INDIANA
USI provides a course in September of every even-numbered year to meet the requirements of the Indiana rule stipulating that dentists and dental hygienists obtain 2 hours of continuing education credit on ethics, professional responsibility, and Indiana statutes and Indiana administrative rules governing the licensure and practice of dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants.
DENTAL ETHICS & LEGAL ISSUES FOR DENTAL PROFESSIONALS HPR881
The 2010 course explores the ethical dilemmas faced by dental practitioners and the values involved in understanding and deliberating these dilemmas. Specifically, the core values of trust, responsibility and service will be discussed within a pluralistic framework derived from real-world case examples. Indiana statutes and Indiana administrative rules governing the licensure and practice of dentists and dental hygienists will also be presented.
