Understanding reimbursement issues can be complex. Becoming familiar with the available resources and guidelinesis essential to fiscal stability is necessary. We have brought together the essential elements of reimbursement in an effort to educate professionals and maximize earning potential.
The Anticoagulation Billing Certificate Program is an interactive continuing education program for health professionals. Content is delivered through the Internet, online conferencing, E-mail, and textbook readings. Participants can complete this program in the convenience of their home or office. This course is designed to be completed in three weeks and provides continuing education credits. The program has three modules. Each module includes reading assignments, study questions, case studies, and text questions. Learners interact with practitioners and faculty who are expert in the area of reimbursement. A certificate of completion will be mailed approximately 30 days following the completion of course assignments and a comprehensive examination.
This program is designed for English-speaking nurses, pharmacists, physicians,
and other
health care providers interested in the concepts and practices of reimbursement.

Enrollment Cost
$350
Fee includes all materials required to complete the program; including
Internet instruction, handouts, and a comprehensive exam.
Refund Policy
A $25 administratiave fee will be charged up to two weeks before the start date.
From two weeks before the class through the day before the start date, a $75 fee will be charged.
On the start date of the class there will be no refund.

Online Registration
A combination of delivery methods are used to facilitate learner and faculty communication including:
Internet
Provides on-line instructor-prepared materials and course assignments. Internet
resources are used as an integral part of the instruction.
Computer Conferencing
Allows learners to interact with faculty and other course participants.
Electronic Mail
Allows learners to freely interact on an individual or group level with other
learners and faculty.
Telephone Consultation
Faculty will be available by telephone to assist learners.
Equipment Required
Participants will need a computer with Internet access. They will also need
an e-mail account. For optimum performance it is recommended that at a minimum
the computer be a 486 50 Mhz or higher with 16 MB of RAM, 200 MB hard disk space,
Super VGA monitor and card with a minimum of 2 MB of RAM; and a modem speed
of 28,800 or higher.
We recommend that you do not use your work e-mail address for taking this course. Many businesses, especially government agencies, utilize security firewalls. Communication from the instructor, the University, or other students may not get through and you will not see the message. We also do not recommend you use AOL, for similar reasons. AOL accounts include spam prevention-type filters and our communication with you may be filtered-out. We recommend you obtain a separate e-mail account for your course work. The program has three modules. Each module includes reading assignments, study questions, case studies, and test questions. Learners interact with practitioners and faculty who are expert in the area of anticoagulation billing. A comprehensive examination will be administered at the end of the three-week program.
Why Enroll in an Interactive Internet Program?
The convenience of on-line instruction allows the participant to "attend" class at any hour or day of the week during the 3 week period. Participants will learn from experts in the area of anticoagulation reimbursement and have the opportunity to network with other participants from across the country. Internet instruction with course faculty while providing convenience of learning in your own home or office.
A Continuing Education Certificate will be awarded following successful completion of study guide questions, an online comprehensive examination, and submission of a course evaluation.
Nurses will receive 24 contact hours.
The University of Southern Indiana College of Nursing and Health Professions, Evansville is an approved provider of continuing education by the Indiana State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
California nurses will receive 24 contact hours.
