Welcome to the Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Certificate Program.  CAM, as an area of health care practice, has grown tremendously in the last ten years because of consumer demand.  Regarded as unscientific in the beginning, it now has its own Center in the National Institutes of Health, and major research studies are being conducted on its effectiveness.  Most of the medical schools in the United States now provide their students with information about this type of health care.  The program is designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of available complementary and alternative therapies.

This course is designed to be completed in six weeks and provides 40-48 continuing education credits.

The program has six modules.  Each module includes reading assignments, study questions, and case studies.  Leaners interact with practitioners and faculty who are expert in the area of CAM.  A comprehansive examination will be administered at the end of the six week program.
