Technology Requirements

All radiology courses utilize USI Blackboard to house relevant course materials and to facilitate course-related communication. Detailed information regarding assignments and the like are located on each course’s Blackboard site. To access the site, students log in at http://blackboard.usi.edu with username (everything before the "@" symbol in your USI email address) and password (student created).

Once you successfully log in, you will see a Welcome page in Blackboard. All enrolled courses and their course links will be visible to enrolled students on the right side of their computer screen under "My Courses."

Access to this Blackboard can also be obtained by logging in to MyUSI at http://www.usieagles.org and clicking the "Login to Blackboard" link. On the Welcome page in Blackboard, all enrolled courses and their course links will be visible to enrolled students on the right side of their computer screen under "My Courses."

Blackboard Student Video Tutorials are available as videostreams by clicking the "Bb Help" tab in Blackboard. Blackboard Help Desk staff (812/461-5389 or online@usi.edu) can assist you with logging in, etc.

Because radiology courses utilize Blackboard, students need regular and dependable access to a computer with an Internet connection. Basic computer technology requirements at USI include:

USI students have assigned USI email accounts (yourusername@usieagles.org). Students access email messages by logging in to MyUSI at http://www.usieagles.org with username and PIN. Students that do not know or have forgotten their PIN can drop by or call the Registrar’s Office (OC 1075) at 812/464-1762. If students prefer to get their MyUSI (and therefore their Blackboard-related) email at another email account, they can follow instructions at MyUSI for forwarding their email.

If you are a resident student, you can use USI’s high-speed Ethernet connection to connect to the USI's network and access Internet right from your room. USI provides both wired and wireless Internet access.

Commuter students can have access to USI's electronic resources from home. From off-campus, you will need to subscribe to a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) or you can use the wireless Internet access when on campus. You may use any ISP to provide this access (e.g. Insight, Sigecom, Evansville Online, Earthlink, etc.).

Please read USI’s Data Communication and Computer Use Policy.
