Bachelor of Science in Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Completion Program

Are you a registered radiographer or allied health professional? Are you interested in completing your bachelor's degree in radiologic and imaging sciences? Would you like to take courses to enhance your job security or to assist you in a registry examination?

The University of Southern Indiana, though its distance education program, may be the right educational opportunity for you.

The Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Bachelor Completion offers 6 specialty areas: Clinical Education, Radiology Management, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, General Sonography, Vascular Sonography, and Cardiac Sonography.*

The Bachelor's Completion program requires students to complete a specialty area in addition to USI's University Core Curriculum.

All Imaging Sciences didactic courses are available to you through Distance Education. University Core Curriculum classes are available though USI's Distance Education and/or the Indiana College Network (ICN).

To graduate with a bachelor's degree in Radiologic and Imaging Sciences, a student must:

  1. Complete the University Core Curriculum as outlined in the current bulletin.
  2. Obtain a grade of C or better in all Radiologic and Imaging Sciences courses and obtain an average of 2.0 on all course work taken at the University of Southern Indiana.
  3. Complete a minimum of 124 credit hours.
  4. Complete at least 30 credit hours at the University of Southern Indiana.
  5. Complete a minimum of 39 300-400 level credit hours.
  6. Licensed health professionals will receive credit for their completed professional courses.

*In order to apply for admission to the Sonography specialty tracks, students must be employed full time in a sonography lab.
