Guidelines for Goals Paper

Students seeking admission to the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program must submit a 1-2 page paper identifying their professional goals. The paper should include the following components:

• a brief description of your practice experiences and leadership roles
• identification of the practice area that you wish to focus on in your DNP program
• your career plans and how the DNP degree will help you achieve your professional goals
• the contributions that you will make to nursing and health care upon completion of the DNP program

The paper must utilize APA format guidelines (i.e. spacing, margins, etc). Papers will be evaluated on the basis of content, organization and writing skills.
