CD’s and Videotapes provide audiovisual instructor presentations and demonstrations.
Email allows students to interact on a one-to-one or group basis with other students and faculty members.
Streaming Media over the internet will enhance the learning process by providing the student with access to "live" and "on-demand" presentations directly from the university to your home computer.
Two-Way Video is another way to receive education from a distance. This technology allows the student to access the presentation from a receive site. Two-way means students can converse in real time with faculty and students on campus.

On-Line Journals provides students immediate accessibility to library references and full-text copies of many articles.
New ways to learn are being discorvered every day. As the College of Nursing and Health Professions grows, we are committed to providing student access to resources to further their education, enhance their learning and promote a life long educational experience.
For students using a personal computer, it is recommended that the computer have Windows XP or Vista or Mac OS X 10.2 or newer. For compatibility, you will want to have access to Microsoft Office 2007, Office 2003 with the Converter Pack or Office 2004 for Mac (a converter pack is scheduled to be released the summer of 2007 - Mactopia Downloads). Contact the USI Bookstore for purchase information on student editions of Microsoft Office. Additionally, a broadband Internet connection would be very beneficial; AOL is not recommended.
Students with computers that are more than 5 years old should consider purchasing a new computer. Please contact Jon Reidford at jmreidfo@usi.edu at 8124615218 for suggestions.
