About the College
Students seeking admission to programs in the College of Nursing and Health Professions must apply for admission to the University and submit a separate application to the program of their choice. Admission is competitive and limited. Students are encouraged to apply during the fall semester prior to their planned date of enrollment. Students meeting academic requirements also must be in good health; eligible for licensure, certification, or registration; and capable of meeting clinical practice requirements. Each program has specific admission criteria.
Students enrolled in Nursing and Health Professions Programs must achieve a grade of "C" or better in courses of their major and in science courses in order to progress within their program. Students enrolled in Master of Nursing Programs must achieve a grade of "B" or better to progress within their program. Additional information regarding progression in individual programs is printed in individual program handbooks which are available upon request.
A degree application must be filed by students completing course requirements one semester prior to the semester in which the program will be completed. This application may be obtained from the School office and should be returned to the student's academic advisor for review and approval.
